About Us
Shayne, Vicky, Shelby & Brantley Horn
We are a first generation ranch, putting our roots down in Thorsby, Alberta. We are proud to call this community home. Most time, you can find us running between hockey arenas and cattle barns, chasing dreams and honing our skills. In summer we figured this is the best place to be - where you can go from pasture checks to paddle boarding, all within minutes of each other. It's a good life and we are grateful for the friends and family that have helped us build it.

We have always believed that healthy land creates healthy animals, and managed in the right way, healthy animals create healthy land. Its a beautiful relationship, one we take pride in being stewards of. We practice rotational grazing and carefully manage the cattle to maximize gain while improving pasture stands, plant diversity and soil organic matter.

Starting early in 4-H, our kids have found their true passion in raising and showing cattle. Get Shelby talking about cows and you will see exactly where her heart is! They take pride in growing their herd, working with their animals, and showing them to the best of their ability. We are excited to see where the future of Tangle Ridge Ranch leads as we build alongside them!
